Our first video conference.
AMERICAN POWER AND GLOBAL SECURITY VIDEO CONFERENCE, BETWEEN ‘THE MIDDLE AMERICA’ AND ‘THE MUSLIM WORLD’.

To maintain a world peace is a job for all nation leaders in the world. All leaders are responsible to prevent terrorist attack and to prevent war. The 9/11 had shock not just people in United States of America but also shocked other nations in the world. It was the moment that we realized since that day this world is no longer a safe place to live on.
The 9/11 event was leading the United States of America under George .W. Bush administration to attack Afghanistan and Iraq with the assumption that Afghanistan is a hide out for Osama bin laden and Iraq kept the weapon of mass destructions. The war against Afghanistan and Iraq, as a matter of fact was triggered more and more terrorist attack, just like what was happening recently outside the Australian’s embassy in Jakarta, whereas the suicide bomber killed 9 and injured more than 160 people.
A global student organization called American for Informed Democracy (AID) will arrange a video conference between students at universities in ‘Middle America’ and the student’s universities in ‘the Muslim world’. The topic of the video conference is American Power and Global Security. American for informed Democracy has selected the Institute of Qur’anic Studies (IIQ) Jakarta Indonesia to be involved in the video conference which representations of students from one of the ‘Muslim world’.

We hope that this video conference will be the great opportunity that our Muslim female voice could be heard, and the USA government could make some rectification pertaining to their foreign policy of the pre-emptive strike doctrine.
